Miss England becomes face of Leicester's Silk Powder for Make-Up campaign

Silk Powder specialises in make-up artistry, beauty and training. Based on Francis Street in the niche Stoneygate Shopping area of Leicester, they have chosen the current Miss England & aspiring Opera singer Natasha Hemmings to be a face of their company and their very own make-up brand, Lou Carvalio.

The experts in bridal, fashion make-up & beauty spent two days on a photoshoot with Natasha Hemmings recently where Natasha modelled bespoke dresses and corsetry by Kelly Couture. Kelly Couture operates under Silk Powder so you have a full in-house service of high quality bridalwear, eveningwear and bridal services. Natasha had a great time and certainly enjoyed her Crystal Clear Micro-Oxy Facial beforehand! They left her skin feeling clean, fantastic and photo-ready.

"We had a great two days & Natasha was a pleasure to work with" says Bal Gill, the Managing Director of Silk Powder, speaking on location at Sturgess Jaguar in Leicester. "Natasha has a timeless look ideal for our brand and is a natural in front of the camera. We want to promote our make-up school and this is a good platform to reach women wishing to train in make-up artistry, hair & beauty."

Silk Powder is one of the only companies in Leicestershire that offer the highly accredited VTCT training courses in the make-up and beauty industry. They offer a range of make-up, beauty and fashion courses to students on a part-time basis, including weekends. The courses are very different to your average training centre as they are wholly tailored around the learners working schedule. Whether you are a part-time mum or a student fresh out of college, Silk Powder is the perfect place to start your career. The tutors are back with years of combined experience and offer a real life environment to develop a learner's skills to the best of their ability.

Bal will be showcasing her years of experience in the make-up and beauty industry by being one of the judges at the forthcoming Miss Leicestershire final, which is being held at the Mercure Grand hotel. She will also be judging at the regional heats for Derby & South Yorkshire and most importantly the Semi-Final, which is being held at the prestigious Kelham Hall. Silk Powder is also the official Make-Up Partner for the 2016 Miss England Semi-Final.

"Silk Powder is a well established company that already has a strong national presence. They intend to expand the company itself and their fast growing make-up brand, Lou Carvalio, to reach an even wider audience and Miss England is the perfect platform. Over 20,000 women aged 16-26 entered Miss England from across the country and many are interested in training to be Make-Up Artists. We have beauty queens from all over the country participating in June, the contestants and their supporters will soon know about the opportunities that the Silk Powder brand offers," said Miss England's director, Angie Beasley. The national competitions HQ is based in Leicester and is England's only entry to Miss World.
