Rob Bracken of Leicester Racecourse welcomes award winning stars to Ladies Day
Leicester Racecourse is delighted to announce that hit 90s girl group All Saints will be headlining their 2017 Ladies Day event with The Only Way is Essex star, Mark Wright, also on the bill with a live DJ set. Ladies Day 2017 will take place on Saturday 8 July and tickets are on sale now.
Ladies Day returns to Leicester Racecourse following their biggest event yet in 2016, which saw over 11,000 race goers pass through the gates on the day. On a day that saw a whopping 1500 bottles of Prosecco, 1000 jugs of Pimms and 40,000 pints of lager poured Leicester Racecourse bosses have been keen to secure a lineup to keep the audience excited.
All Saints are one of Britain’s best-loved girl bands, enjoying a string of hits throughout the 90s. With chart toppers including Lady Marmalade, Bootie Call and Pure Shores, Never Ever also remains the second biggest selling UK girl group single of all time. Selling over 12 million records, the group also secured 2 Brit Awards and an Ivor Novello Award. The group will be heading to Leicester Racecourse shortly after finishing their arena tour supporting Take That throughout May and June.
Joining All Saints on the bill will be The Only Way is Essex star turned TV presenter, Mark Wright, who will be performing a live DJ set for the Ladies Day crowd. Since rising to fame in reality TV Mark has since gone on star in I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here and Strictly Come Dancing as well as taking the reigns as TV presenter on Take Me Out: The Gossip. He also presents a Club Classics shows on Heart FM so will be sure to have the crowd dancing on the night.
Before the evening entertainment there’ll be a full race card taking place throughout the day for punters to enjoy, alongside a range of pop up food traders offering different cuisines. With a pop up cocktail bar and Steamin’ Billy’s on site micro pub, The Winning Post, also open there’ll be a host of food and drinks options available to customers.
