On Thursday 2 February Father Simon Gillespie celebrated Mass at Our Lady's Convent School, Loughborough, to mark the Feast Day of the Presentation of the Lord. The whole School gathered in the Hall where the candles were blessed before everyone processed to the Chapel, led by Father Simon and the Headmaster, Dr Julian Murphy.
It was a poignant day for the Rosminian Sisters who were present as this feast day is a particularly reflective day for members of religious orders. The Sixth Form readers and the School choir led the service brilliantly making it a very enjoyable and memorable occasion for all involved.
Speaking after the event, Headmaster, Dr Murphy said, “Spiritual life is a very important part of this School as is taking time for reflection and celebrating these important dates in the religious calendar.”
