Leicester businesswoman Sue Witts is the latest LOROS supporter to become a volunteer Ambassador for the Glenfield-based Leicestershire and Rutland Hospice charity.
Sue, who runs Anstey-based printing services and promotional products company, Ask Sue Witts, actively supports several local charities in the community and the business world.
She recently completed the Leicester to Skegness 84-mile bike ride in aid of LOROS and is always looking for ways to encourage businesses to get involved. These include asking employers to choose LOROS as their Charity of the Year, to hold fund raising events for LOROS or to site a LOROS “donation station” on their premises.
Sue, whose mum was looked after by LOROS, said she was pleased to be part of the charity’s dedicated team of Ambassadors. She added: “I’m happy to meet businesses on their premises or book them an appointment to visit the hospice.”
Adrian Walker, LOROS Community and Challenge Events Lead, said he was delighted to welcome Sue to her Ambassador role. He added: “Having experienced what we do first hand, Sue knows the importance of LOROS to patients and their families. She will be working to spread awareness of all our services and help fundraise in companies and the community.”
