Leading chartered surveying practice Edward Cooper Young has launched its latest regional office in the heart of Sheffield city centre.
Announcing the new office on the first day of MIPIM in the South of France, the construction consultancy specialising in project management, employer’s agent, quantity surveying, development monitoring as well as land finding services is opening its third regional office, with the Leicestershire based firm already occupying offices in London and Bristol.
The firm, which celebrates its 10th year in business this year, has an average of 100 projects on the go at any one time with an average of just five per cent of this work coming from local clientele.
Senior Partner Ashley Cooper commented on the office opening saying: “Given the present work levels from existing clients in Yorkshire and the North of the country Sheffield was the natural choice in which to place ourselves. We are also looking forward to working within what is already a vibrant, local marketplace to deliver our bespoke tailored services to existing and new clients.”
With an estimated turnover of £1.6m for the 2017 tax year, the company has experienced rapid growth over the last three years having grown from a turnover of £700,000 in 2015 to an estimated turnover of £2.2m in 2019. With more than £1m of work already on the order books, the company has taken on appointments from £50,000 domestic extensions to £27m care village schemes.
The new office will be headed up by Daryl Woolley, an Associate of Edward Cooper Young. Daryl studied at Nottingham Trent University, was previously employed as a quality surveyor, and has been with ECY almost three years.
