Boneyard has been a key part of the Leicester food scene for almost 18 months and they’re now launching their brand new menu along with a brand new Gin & Fizz bar, which sees the front of their Granby Street restaurant transformed.
It’s hard to believe that it’s been 18 months since Boneyard landed in Leicester with their “loud, extrovert and unashamedly funky” brand of food and cocktails. The restaurant has been a big hit in the city with regulars visiting for dinner as well as sampling the tasty selection of cocktails on a night out. Their unique brand of twisted Asian American street food sets them apart from other restaurants in the city and this theme continues into their new menu.
“Eat, drink, dance and get messy”, that was the motto when the restaurant first opened and it’s certainly stayed true to its word. However, moving into the new year seemed the time to switch things up a gear and the restaurant has enjoyed a recent transformation with the front part of the venue now welcoming a brand new Gin & Fizz bar, which will cater for cocktail classes, private hire and party nights as well as holding a range of 24 gins.
The new menu retains customer favourites including Lamb Snatch and Provocative P.I.G. which have been a huge hit, but will welcome new twists such as their marinated double lamb patty glazed in Thai slaughter sauce with melted Red Leicester, a wider selection of street food sides and Tabasco toploader fries to name just a few!
Restaurant owner, Dave Martin commented, “It’s been a fantastic journey for us since we opened in November 2016. We’ve built a loyal customer base and regularly see new faces through the door. Alongside the new Gin & Fizz bar seemed the perfect time to launch our new menu, which sees some fantastic new additions alongside old favourites.”
General Manager, Ed Weston added, “We’ve had a brilliant year so far at Boneyard and our great reviews speak volumes. Boneyard is such a unique brand and Leicester people have really bought into our ‘twisted Asian American’ street food concept."
To celebrate the new menu and bar launch, Boneyard will be throwing a public party on Thursday 19 April from 6pm. Alongside getting the first taste of the new menu, pre-booked tables will receive 50% off and there’ll also be free cocktail masterclasses taking place throughout the evening as well as a live DJ.
