Senior tax specialists from business and financial adviser Grant Thornton UK LLP are to clarify and demystify the raft of tax reliefs on property at an event hosted by the firm as part of the 2018 Leicester Business Festival.
The ‘Maximising Tax Reliefs in Property’ free breakfast event at Grant Thornton’s Leicester office on Regent Road is an opportunity for individuals and businesses involved in the property sector or with land or property assets to understand the tax reliefs available to them and how to get the most from the tax system.
Taking part in the event will be the firm’s Head of Capital Allowances Peter Stoddart, Tax Director in the Leicester office Mark Pashley, and Tax Senior Manager Mustafa Rafik.
“The free breakfast event will cover the tax issues arising in relation to property, whether commercial or residential,” explains Mark Pashley, a member of Grant Thornton’s Leicester office senior leadership team
“From capital allowances for commercial property, how to structure a property portfolio, asset protection for companies with large cash balances and investments, the session will provide clear guidance and practical tips on what the main tax reliefs are, and how to maximise their potential.”
Following Grant Thornton’s Leicester Business Festival event are pre-bookable one-to-one 20-minute sessions with one of the firm’s specialists: “These will be a great opportunity for delegates to discuss their own specific challenges, situation and the tax opportunities available to them,” adds Mark.
The event is at Grant Thornton’s offices on Regent Road, Leicester on Thursday 8th November, from 8.30am to 10am.
