Wells & Co. reopens well-loved local, renaming it The Tree.
Introducing The Tree, formerly, The Orange Tree, this popular pub on the High Street, has had a big refresh by independent family pub business Wells & Co. It retains many of its most-loved features including its garden, artwork, tasty vegan offering and the famous Glastontree music festival. It is set to open its doors on 15th August, to provide a home away from home for city dwellers.
Located in the heart of the Leicester, the much-loved local will be staffed by a talented team of 21 people, including many of The Orange Tree’s familiar faces, such as general manager Amy James and assistant manager Ollie Worley, who will be on hand to introduce locals to the newly revamped venue. As well as this, The Tree will combine a selection of The Orange Tree’s top festivities, including the highly anticipated Glastontree (Leicester’s very own micro-Glastonbury festival), with a handful of fresh ideas from the family business, ensuring the pub is recognised in Leicester for its continued personality, independence and simplicity.
The Tree offers a tempting new vegan menu in addition to freshly made artisan pizzas and bubbling pots of comfort food, all washed down by a great range of craft beers, spirits and wines. Join us for 2-4‐1 pizzas on ‘Happy Monday’s or enjoy a two-course vegan meal for £10 every Wednesday, with ‘Bruce’s Vegan Feast’, hand-picked for you by head chef, Bruce Hardie, who has been part of The Orange Tree’s team since 2008. The Tree also retains its tempting ‘Happy Hour’ every Sunday to Friday, with two cocktails for £8.

The opening continues an exciting year of expansion for Wells & Co.’s Pizza, Pots & Pints programme, with plans for five new launches across the country throughout 2019.
