Women who enter this year's Miss Leicestershire contest will be invited to showcase their talent according to Miss England Director Angie Beasley.
An organiser of the event said: "One of the rounds in Miss England is a talent round & the last four winners of Miss Leicestershire have all been talented dancers."
The current Miss Leicestershire is Millie Richardson who reached the final 20 in Miss England 2019. The contest was won by Derby's Doctor Bhasha Mukherjee who herself reached the Miss World Top 40 and performed an Indian dance in traditional costume at the final.
Toni Anne Singh from Jamaica impressed the judges and the audience at the Miss World finals in London in December 2019 with an outstanding Whitney Houston classic in the Miss World Talent round. Since winning the ultimate beauty crown and the $100,000 Toni has released a charity single of the song I have nothing.
Event organisers said: "It's amazing to see these talented women using their Beauty for a Purpose. The ethos of Miss World and Miss England is Beauty With A Purpose which raises millions of pounds across the world for humanitarian causes."
Hoping to help youth homelessness in Leicestershire, this year Miss Leicestershire contestants will be invited to raise funds for the Y “Sponsor a House" campaign as part of the contest.
The final catwalk and talent round of Miss Leicestershire will be held at the Y Theatre on Friday, March 27. Tickets for the event go on sale on March 1 and will be available from the Y Theatre.
