May 19, 2016

Do you know someone who deserves to be recognised for their learning achievements or for inspiring others to learn? Festival of Learning is celebrating and inspiring lifelong learning with its annual awards, which showcase the wonderful things that can be achieved through learning.
Organised by Learning and Work Institute, Festival of Learning highlights the people, organisations and projects that inspire learning and is the largest national celebration of lifelong learning in England.

Over 50 regional and national Festival of Learning winners will be selected for a range of awards across four categories, including Individual, Tutor, Employer and Project/Provision, which are open to everyone in England.

Individuals – Do you know someone who deserves recognition for their commitment to learning? Perhaps you have colleagues or friends who have changed their lives through learning and are an inspiration to others.

Tutors – Do you have a tutor who goes the extra mile to encourage and inspire others to learn, or has even helped to change lives? Celebrate their work with a Festival of Learning award nomination.

Employers – If you know an employer who recognises the difference learning can make and encourages staff to make the most of learning opportunities, highlight their efforts by nominating them for an award.

Projects – Is there a project in your community or within your company that has helped to improve and change lives? From improving health to boosting confidence, helping people into work to enhancing skills, if there is an inspiring project you have benefited from, make sure you nominate it for an award.

Nominating someone for an award is quick and easy, simply visit Festival of Learning and complete the nomination form. Nominations for the awards close at 5pm on Friday 20th May.
Festival of Learning is coordinated by Learning and Work Institute (formerly NIACE), and funded by the European Social Fund (ESF) and the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS).
