On Saturday 4th June, Harry Harris finished his three day press tour in Leicester, for his ground breaking book 'The Immortals' – a story on the success of Leicester City in the 15/16 Premier League season. He finished his tour at Marco’s New York Italian by Marco Pierre White in Granby Street.
Harry, a multi award winning author from London who has sold one million books worldwide, attended press and book signing events at well known Leicester venues this weekend, such as WH Smith, Walshy’s Sports Pad, San Carlo’s Pizzeria and Betfred. 'The Immortals' has been met with huge local success and praise, ending at Marco’s New York Italian on Saturday 4th June.
Many Leicester City fans from Leicester and beyond came to support the hugely successful book documenting the LCFC win, with over 500 books being signed by Harry between the 2nd – 4th June.
Harry Harris, commenting on why he thinks the book has been so popular, said;
“Because everyone in Leicester sees it as a one off, that a small team could go on to win the Premier League is fantastic achievement. They fought and tried hard, had a manager that everyone loved and respected and a fantastic city backing them. The book serves as a collectors item,documenting this historic moment in time for this very deserving team.”
Speaking about the book signings in Leicester, he had this to say about Leicester;
“The tour has been fantastic, all be it an exhausting one! I’m ecstatic that the people of Leicester love the book, and have been so grateful that this city has welcomed me with open arms. Spending the final afternoon at Marco’s has been a fantastic way to end my few days in this sterling city
I’ve signed a copy of books for Marco – seeing as he is a football fan – I hope he likes them and comes to visit soon!”
