An evening of entertainment to take place at LOROS Hospice to celebrate Navratri Festival

An evening bursting with singing and dancing is set to take place at LOROS as the Hospice celebrates the Navratri Festival.

Taking place on Thursday 6th October, LOROS is hosting an extra special event to help celebrate the nine-day festival, which sees Hindus devote their time to prayers, religious singing, chants and meditation.

Each of the nine nights is dedicated to the nine Goddesses, with Navratri itself symbolising ‘good over evil’.

LOROS Cultural Support Worker Anjana Vaja said: “This is a unique opportunity for people of Leicester to enjoy Navratri at LOROS and at the same time find out about the work of the Hospice.

“We at LOROS feel privileged to host such an occasion.”

The event at LOROS will start at 7pm and finish at 10pm, with the dress code being Indian traditional bright vibrant colours.
