Newby Castleman supporting Rainbows Hospice

Newby Castleman’s Managing Partner, Chris Castleman, presents Rainbows with a cheque

Firm’s donations to Rainbows Hospice reach £1,000

Leading firm of chartered accountants, Newby Castleman, has raised £1,000 for Rainbows children’s hospice in Loughborough.

Newby Castleman, which has offices in Leicester and Loughborough, raised further funds for Rainbows Hospice through a range of initiatives throughout 2016.

Most recently, it held a festive raffle to win a soft plush toy, and rather than exchanging Christmas cards with one another, the firm’s staff left messages for their colleagues on a Rainbows-branded Christmas poster, with a donation made to the charity for each message.

Earlier last year, the annual Newby Castleman bake-off had a rainbow theme in honour of the hospice, raising a total of £475 through a blind auction and a bake sale.

The firm has also raised money for Rainbows on a month-by-month basis through dress-down days and other forms of fundraising.

Rainbows has been a client of Newby Castleman for 17 years. In that time, the firm has held a number of fundraising events, sponsored various events, and donated its professional business services worth £20,000, which in turn saved the hospice well over £150,000 in VAT during its ‘Building for the Future’ appeal.

Paul Barnett, Charities Partner at Newby Castleman, said: “Rainbows is a cause very close to our hearts and we are proud to have raised £1,000 for the hospice in 2016.

Not only have we been able to support a fantastic cause through our fundraising, we’ve also had fun while we were doing it. The bake off in April was particularly well received by our staff and the entries were of a very high standard.”

Newby Castleman is a long-established, independent chartered accountancy firm with locations in Leicester and Loughborough. For more information on the services that Newby Castleman provides, visit http://www.newbycastleman.co.uk
