Local apprentice awarded certificate of outstanding achievement at House of Commons

March 8, 2018

As National Apprenticeship Week fever spreads the nation, we can celebrate the many businesses in Leicestershire who take on apprentices, nurture them and see them grow to have a positive impact on business across the county.

Everards are one of these local businesses that do just that. They currently have seven apprentices ranging from IT to finance to digital Marketing.

To celebrate, the Everards apprentices attended a special event with Finance Manager Sally Berry and IT Manager Steve Ice at the House of Commons in London, where one of their apprentices, Luke Pettit has been awarded a certificate of outstanding achievement by MP Andrew Griffiths for his work during his AAT apprenticeship. Luke has been with Everards for four years and will stay with the company on a permanent basis once he completes his apprenticeship.

“We are all really proud of Luke, he deserves this certificate of outstanding achievement as he always puts the effort in and we can see him going far. He will be so chuffed, especially as he celebrated his 21st yesterday! This will be the icing on the cake to a great week for him,” says Sally.

National Apprenticeship Week runs from 5th to 9th March 2018. During this week employers and apprentices from across England have come together to celebrate the success of apprenticeships whilst encouraging even more people to choose apprenticeships as a pathway to a great career.
