Botanically Brewed Beers

November 7, 2019

Lowlander beers aren’t your traditional beer; whilst traditionally, beer is brewed with water, hops and yeast, the Lowlander beer uses the same principles as gin distillation. It begins with peeling dozens of oranges, cooking spices, extracting bags full of herbs and making teas and tinctures.

A variety of brewing processes and natural, botanical ingredients are used within the process, enabling Lowlander to achieve the right amount of both flavour and aroma into their beers. Lowlander have four botanically brewed beers, which are Pale Ale, White Ale, I.P.A and Porter.

Recently, they have introduced their low ABV Botanical Infusion drinks. At just 2.5% ABV, these beers are inspired by the aromatics of a beautifully garnished G&T, with their Ginger and Kaffir Lime, and Yuzu and Pink Grapefruit Infusions are best served differently - as a long drink garnished with fresh mint or pink grapefruit.

Also, if you’re a designated driver, or just cutting down your alcohol intake, Lowlander has the perfect beer for you; the Xero Alcohol Whit (White Beer) is Lowlander’s first no-alcohol beer. It is brewed with reclaimed citrus peel from bars and restaurants who use fruit to squeeze fresh lemon and orange juice, so unlike other no-alcohol options, it is bursting with fruity flavours.

If you’re looking for the perfect gift for a beer enthusiast, look no further than Lowlander’s fantastic Gift Pack. Consisting of three bottles of their new botanically brewed beers from Amsterdam and a beer glass.
