All-human circus returns with new acts to Gates Garden Centre.

After last year’s hugely popular launch, Gates Garden Centre's Cirquoise friends are visiting again this summer with a brand new line up of acts until August 10.

Oakham's Gates Garden Centre will be hosting a unique group of wonderful artistes, with their long heritage of Italian and British circus. Their big top will be situated in the same place as last year, the field next to Gates' main car park.

The Cirquoise performances feature all the much-loved characters; from laughter-filled clowns to death-defying acrobatics. Plus, there are exciting new additions such as the sensational Wheel of Death and Vlad Khvostik with his powerful hand-balancing routine.

The dazzling combination of high energy, jaw dropping talent and electric atmosphere promises a magical and unforgettable experience. These hour-long shows are all-human.

These brand new performances, fresh for 2025, started at 11am on July 18, until the final showing at 3pm on Sunday, August 10.

Weekday performances run from Tuesday to Friday at 11am and 3pm, Saturdays start at 11am, 2pm and 4:30pm and Sundays start at 11am and 3pm.

Weekday tickets are £8.99 and weekend tickets are £10.99 per person, with under 2s free (children must sit on a parent’s lap). In the big top, there is a pushchair and child travel seat parking area.

Doors open 45 minutes prior to showtime, and seating is allocated on arrival.

Food and drinks

If you need a pit stop before or after the show, Gates Garden Restaurant and Courtyard Coffee Shop have food and drinks on offer. The Garden Centre and eateries are closed once the 4:30pm show ends, but food offerings at the big top will still be open.

If you’re visiting and then having to dash, you can also visit the Circus Kitchen in Gates Farm Shop to grab a treat before you go. They have freshly made pizza slices with cheese, ham and mushroom or pepperoni, nachos, and US-style hot dogs with all the trimmings.

As a special treat, whilst Cirquoise is here, visit the food trucks by the big top, serving a variety of food and snacks, plus hot and cold drinks. There’s no interval but you can buy candyfloss, popcorn, doughnuts, slush and drinks to take into the show with you.
