The firm has made significant investments including doubling the size of its premises.
The owners of a Leicester-based industrial electric motor service company say a “commitment to excellence” has helped it reach 30 years in business.
Alpha Electrics was started by the Patel family in 1990. Three decades later the business employs a highly-skilled team of 15 from its base in the city’s Tithe Street.
The company specialises in the repair, maintenance and service of industrial electric motors, working across sectors including construction, aerospace, precession engineering, food, packaging, automotive, retail and more – helping to keep machinery, factories, heating and air-conditioning units up and running.
Trading has been challenging for most businesses during the Covid-19 global pandemic, but the “stable business that has weathered many a storm” is actually investing in the business and setting out plans for growth.
Company director Rajesh Patel said there was a “real sense of optimism” despite the impact on the economy caused by coronavirus.
He said: “We are proud to celebrate our 30th anniversary, but never complacent. Our commitment to excellence and constantly driving change has ensured we are always one step ahead. We have built a stable business that has weathered many a storm, so we are well-quipped to cope with the challenges posed by coronavirus.”
Continual investment in the workforce and the latest technologies have also been crucial to the success of Alpha Electrics along with its guaranteed products, specialist services, speed of response and transparent processes.
The company is now planning for the next 30 years by investing in the business and setting out plans for growth.
The company started planning for the future eight months ago by working with Leicester-based brand and marketing agency Well & Truly.
A growth strategy has been created as well as a fresh look brand and new website, which includes the new ‘Alpha Product Hub’ displaying hundreds of products available for immediate purchase for when waiting for a repair is not an option.
Hem Patel, Senior Sales Engineer, added: “We’re constantly evolving and seeking ways to change, improve and develop our services, in a drive to become more specialist and maintain our position as experts in this field.
"That is why we now planning for the next phase of the business. We started by revisiting what has got us to where we are now and have then used these values to help devise a strategy to further grow the business.
“We’re looking forward to expanding into new markets and are even exploring international markets such as the USA, EMEA, South America and Africa.”
