Have your say on the Covid-19 vaccine

Have your say by Friday, March 12

Whether you’re yet to be vaccinated, have just had the first dose, or have been fully vaccinated already, the NHS wants to hear your views.

Health experts are offering an opportunity for patients, family carers and the public in Leicester to share their opinions on the new Covid-19 vaccine through a survey.

As the vaccination programme gains an increasing momentum across the city and more people become eligible to be vaccinated, it’s crucial that the Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland Clinical Commissioning Groups (LLR CCGs) understand how to keep patients and the public across LLR thoroughly informed. Local GP, Dr Nil Sanganee said: “We are incredibly proud of the immense work that has been done to date to begin protecting the most vulnerable in our communities against Coronavirus.

"We are making great progress in terms of the number of people being vaccinated, but to protect our communities from serious illness and hospitalisation it is imperative that as many people as possible across LLR get vaccinated when they are invited. “That’s why we are asking people to take a few moments to complete our short survey so that we can better understand patient needs and how we can better provide the information that people want - but we can only do this with your support.”

Nil concludes: “Many people will understandably have questions and concerns about the vaccines and the vaccination process. So we want to make sure patients and the public receive factually accurate information and support to reassure them that the vaccines are rigorously tested and safe to take.

"No feedback is too little. And on behalf of everyone involved I’d like to thank our communities for their continued support.”

The survey will close at midnight on Friday, March 12, 2021.
