Inside No. 9 fans, this is the last call.
The final ever performances of Steve Pemberton and Reece Shearsmith’s smash-hit stage show Inside No. 9: Stage/Fright have been confirmed, with a farewell run of six shows only at the Eventim Apollo, Hammersmith from 2–6 January 2026. Tickets go on sale at 12 noon on Thursday 13 November via InsideNo9OnStage.com and the Eventim Apollo box office.
It’s a fitting finale for an already legendary production. Inside No. 9: Stage/Fright debuted in the West End in January 2025 with a completely sold-out 12-week season at Wyndham’s Theatre, before heading out on a 12-venue UK tour through Bromley, Manchester, Oxford, Stoke, Liverpool, Edinburgh and more. The tour wraps in early December, then all roads lead to Hammersmith for one last week “inside number 9”.

A twisted love letter to theatre
Nominated for an Olivier Award for Best Entertainment or Comedy Play, Inside No. 9: Stage/Fright takes everything viewers love about the BAFTA-winning BBC anthology — the dark humour, the creeping dread, the big final twist — and drops it into a live theatre setting.
Critics have called it:
“Absurdly entertaining… there’s simply nothing else like it” – Mail on Sunday
“Dazzlingly entertaining” – The Sunday Times
“Wildly clever” and “a bold West End debut… bravo” – Financial Times and Daily Telegraph
You don’t need to have seen the TV series to follow the story — the play works on its own as a sharp, spooky, very funny night out — but fans will spot familiar flavours, in-jokes and callbacks threaded through the chaos.
Cast, guest stars and why this is truly “last chance”
On stage at the Eventim Apollo, Pemberton and Shearsmith are joined by Rebecca Bainbridge, Mark Extance, Gaby French, Miranda Hennessy, Bhav Joshi, Toby Manley, Sarah Moyle and Sophie Suddaby, reprising their acclaimed West End roles.
One of Stage/Fright’s most delicious tricks has been its surprise guest star each night. Across the West End and tour, audiences have been treated to appearances from names like Ian McKellen, Stephen Fry, Lenny Henry, David Tennant, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Michael Sheen, Maureen Lipman, Jonathan Ross, Rick Astley and even Basil Brush.
With the ninth and final TV season of Inside No. 9 now complete and available on BBC iPlayer, these January dates at Hammersmith really do feel like the end of a chapter — the last time Pemberton and Shearsmith will invite a live audience into one of their meticulously constructed number 9s.
For London theatregoers and long-time fans alike, Inside No. 9: Stage/Fright – Final London Shows is more than just another run: it’s the final twist.
