Leicester Horror Con resurrected at Guildhall Museum

Leicester's fan-run festival is being resurrected this summer!

The Guildhall is hosting the most part of this year's Leicester Horror Con on Saturday, June 24- the week of the summer solstice. Perfectly timed for a screening of Midsommar.

Firebug will also be hosting part of the event.

A Grade I listed, 15th-century building, Guildhall is the perfect spooky setting for Leicester's very own fan-run horror festival.

Guildhall has served many roles, including a police station and courthouse. Shakespeare is thought to have performed on its stage and its history of eerie happenings led to an episode of TV's Most Haunted dedicated to it.

There'll be a screening of the infamously disturbing Midsommar, and you can expect stalls, guests, talks, and cosplay.

Date: Saturday, June 24, 2023
Time: 11am to 4pm
Location: The Guildhall & Firebug Bar

Guildhall will host the highlight of the convention, the "Dark Market". The UK's top horror traders will be in attendance selling artwork, posters, toys, clothing, comics, books, DVDs/Blu-Rays and more. There will also be special guests from film and tv signing autographs and posing for pictures with fans.

A short walk over to Firebug is where you'll find talks and a screening room featuring a programme of panels, interviews and films throughout the day.

Leicester Horror Con is excited to create this new opportunity for the city's creepy community to meet fellow horror fans, buy merchandise from our awesome vendors, meet our guests and learn more about the genre we love.

Tickets are £6.66. Horror Con runs from 11am to 4pm on June 24.
