Leicester's Brew Beat Festival to return for its 5th year

Leicester’s biggest craft beer, street food and music festival is back for its fifth year, and this free end-of-summer celebration promises to be a jam-packed weekend of fun. Brew Beat festival returns to Jubilee Square from August 29 to August 31, 2025 with three full days of live music, locally brewed drinks, street food, and entertainment for all ages.

Since the first festival in 2020, Brew Beat has grown into one of Leicester’s most loved summer events. This year’s festival will feature:

  • 30+ live musical acts across the weekend - from local legends to breakthrough UK talent

  • A range of bars, including craft beers, cocktails, spritz and non-alcoholic options

  • Four mouth-watering local street food vendors

  • Family-friendly entertainment, including circus performers, face painting and a communal drumming workshop for all ages

Presented by BID Leicester and sponsored by music licensing organisation PPL PRS, the festival continues its mission to spotlight local talent, independent businesses, and community creativity.

Simon Jenner, BID Leicester Director, said: “Brew Beat is all about celebrating the unique spirit of Leicester – independent businesses, diverse talent and vibrant city centre. We’re proud to present this festival and see it continue to grow into a cultural staple for the city. The fifth anniversary is a real milestone, and we’re thrilled to welcome people back to Jubilee Square for another unforgettable weekend.”

Brew Beat is produced in partnership with several of Leicester’s most creative businesses, who make the festival possible: Arch Creative, HQ Recording and The Real Ale Classroom.

Joe Nixon, Founder & Creative Director, Arch Creative, said: “It’s been incredible to see how Brew Beat has evolved over the past five years - from a simple idea to a key cultural moment for Leicester.

"We’ve loved shaping the look, feel and experience of the festival, and this year’s offering is a true testament to the power of collaboration, with more than 15 local businesses working together to make this fantastic festival happen”

Visitors can enjoy more than 20 hours of live music across three days - from funk to indie, jazz to hip-hop. Acts from across Leicester and the nation will perform throughout the weekend. Curated by HQ Recording, the line-up promises something for every music lover, with Funk Nation taking over Sunday with its signature blend of funky beats and smooth grooves.

Artist announcements will be released in the coming weeks.

Expect a rich mix of local and independent food and drink offerings, including:

  • A craft beer bar curated by The Real Ale Classroom, featuring beers from many local and national breweries and a special Brew Beat x Two x Two Brewing anniversary collaboration

  • Cocktails shaken and served by Audrey cocktail bar, and an Aperol Spritz bar hosted by 33CankStreet

  • A full range of soft drinks and alcohol-free options

  • Family-friendly fun with face painting, circus performers and hands-on activities. New for 2025, a communal drumming workshop invites early guests to take centre stage before the music begins.

  • For the foodies, a mouth-watering selection of street food will be available on site, with four Leicester-based vendors set to be revealed in July.

Whether you’re a music lover, foodie, craft beer fan, or looking for a great day out with family or friends, Brew Beat 2025 promises to be a fantastic end-of-summer party for all.
