Music in the Park is back with its annual charity concert

Two radio hosts, two live bands, and two charities.

After a tough couple years of cancellations due to the pandemic, the annual charity concert 'Music in the Park' is excited to be making their comeback.

The charity event will be held on Saturday, June 11 in the beautiful grounds of Wistow Hall.

Radio Leicester’s Monica Winfield and Martin Ballard will host the event and two live bands will perform.

Guests can bring their own picnics and enjoy a wonderful evening of live music and fireworks.

Funds raised will be donated to LOROS and children’s hospice Rainbows.

A bit about the charities

A local charity that cares for over 2,500 people across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland every year.

They offer free compassionate care and support to terminally ill patients, their families and carers. LOROS make sure to deliver special and unique care to each individual and their circumstances.

Caring for hundreds of families every year, they help those who have a child or young person with a serious or terminal illness.

Simply put, Rainbows helps to brighten short lives, making the most out of every precious moment.

The Old Boy Network will be performing classic tracks from the 60s and 70s. Award-winning Hathern Brass Band will also be on stage bringing a 'last night of the proms' feel to the event.

The evening will be drawn to a close with a spectacular Fireworks Display in front of Wistow Hall.
