Music licensing business to host second virtual recruitment fair after initial success

It's a free, interactive, online event.

Leicester-based music licensing company, PPL PRS Ltd will be hosting a second virtual recruitment fair on Wednesday, July 14, as they continue to offer positions to potential new employees from across the region.

The event follows the success of the company’s first virtual fair in May, which was attended by over 30 potential new recruits, many of whom were offered roles in a variety of positions across the business.

The upcoming fair, which is online, open to all and free to attend via Eventbrite, will include information sessions as well as talks from current members of staff, and the opportunity to view the office space at Mercury Place via a virtual live stream. Attendees will also have the chance to discuss current vacancies which includes roles in sales, as well as the Live Music and Key Accounts teams.

The company recruited approximately 200 new members of staff ahead of their launch in February 2018 and have continued to attract employees who reflect their core values of ‘passionate’, ‘collaborative’, ‘straightforward’, ‘play fair’, and ‘value music’.

The not-for-profit organisation, whose offices have meeting rooms named after music genres, such as ‘Soul’ and ‘Country’, and a 90sqm mural dedicated to music through the decades, currently has over 270 members of staff, many of whom have been with the company from the start.

Employees, known as ‘band members’, at the company receive a range of benefits, including Perkbox, annual music vouchers and regular social events as well as a variety of training and career progression opportunities.

Kevin Underdown, Head of HR at PPL PRS said: “PPL PRS are delighted to be hosting our second recruitment fair following the success of the first event earlier in the year. Based in the heart of the city, PPL PRS have always been proud to call Leicester our home and we continue to be overwhelmed by the talented people and sense of community in the area.

"We would like to invite anyone who is interested in finding out who we are and what we do, to join us on the 14th of July and we very much look forward to welcoming everyone to our interactive, informative virtual event.”
