Honey Box Live, an innovative live-streamed music show, has announced a special pop-up event at Leicester’s iconic 2Funky Complex on Sunday, February 16.
Honey Box Live is a unique blend of live gig and live-stream broadcast, which has been supporting the grassroots music scene in the UK for eight years and has produced seven series and 42 episodes, all of which feature only emerging and unsigned bands.
Peter Herbert, Co-producer of Honey Box Live, explained: “It’s important to create opportunities like this, where local artists can connect with the wider music community, and get a chance to reach new audiences.
"By partnering with 2Funky Arts, we’re able to support grassroots talent and help them gain visibility through both live performances and online broadcasts.
"Honey Box Live has received £50,000 from the UK shared prosperity Fund which allows us to deliver the live-streamed series and offer these opportunities to people.”
The team behind Honey Box Live are taking series eight of their long running online broadcast music show on tour.
In partnership with 2 Funky Arts, they’re looking for unsigned bands and emerging musicians from Leicester to appear at a live concert. The concert is filmed and streamed in front of a live audience, and broadcast across the nation on YouTube and other social media channels.
This unique event will feature an incredible lineup of local musicians, offering a platform to showcase their talents to a wider audience.
Alongside the live broadcast, attendees can enjoy food, drinks, and warm-up acts before three headline performances take centre stage.
Honey Box Live and 2Funky Arts are committed to supporting the vibrant music community by giving emerging artists an opportunity to shine and are looking far and wide for Leicester’s best, unsigned music acts.
