Leicester's Metro Bank volunteers for Race For Life

The UK’s community bank, Metro Bank, gives every colleague a Day to Amaze. Intrigued? It's essentially a paid day off to support a local charity or good cause.

16 Metro Bank colleagues from the Leicester area will be using theirs to volunteer or run in the upcoming Cancer Research Race for Life in Leicester on July 24, 2022.

Cancer touches everyone’s lives and colleagues are pleased to be able to use their Day to Amaze to help Cancer Research raise the funds it needs to help beat this disease,” explains assistant store manager, Kai Penn.

“A huge thanks to all the colleagues and customers who are supporting those who are participating in the actual race – let’s hope they raise a small fortune.”

Metro Bank colleagues will be helping the organisers to set up and pack the event, act as marshals, and answer queries at information points.

Over 400,000 will be taking part at Race for Life events this summer.

The team has already raised over £1,000 in sponsorship and if you would like to donate, you can here.
