The branch manager of local student lettings agency Loc8me aims to build a sense of community pride through its new partnership with Leicester Riders.

Established in 1967, Leicester Riders are the oldest professional basketball team in the UK.

The sports team is also one of the country’s most successful, having won 19 titles in the top tier of basketball in the UK, the British Basketball League.

Jack Payne, Leicester Branch Manager at Loc8me, commented: "Sponsoring the Leicester Riders holds a special place in our hearts as it reflects our commitment to supporting our local community and investing in the growth of sports and education."

Founded by Director Raffaele Russo, who started letting and managing properties from his Loughborough University bedroom in 2008, Loc8me aims to improve and push the standard of student accommodation.

Loc8me has over 6,000 tenants and manages over 2,500 properties across Loughborough, Leicester and around the UK.

“As a company deeply rooted in Leicester, we believe in the power of teamwork, discipline, and dedication, which are values shared by both loc8me and the Leicester Riders. Through this sponsorship, we aim to contribute to the development of the team, enabling them to continue their journey to success on and off the court," Jack added.

“Our partnership with the Leicester Riders signifies more than just a financial commitment; it's a symbol of our dedication to fostering a strong sense of community pride.

“We are excited to engage with fans, students, and residents, bringing them closer to the thrilling world of professional basketball and inspiring the next generation of athletes.

“We look forward to a season filled with exciting games, shared victories, and memorable moments. Together with the Leicester Riders, we are determined to make a positive impact and create lasting memories for everyone in Leicester."
