BP Legal to expand Leicester offices after acquiring Solicitors4Landlords

The expansion will create 9 new jobs.

BP Legal can today announce the construction of a £80k expansion to its Leicester offices, due for completion in August 2024.

The 160-square-meter expansion will provide a versatile working space to accommodate its growing team of industry-leading lawyers after its recent acquisition of national firm Solicitors4Landlords.

As many small independent companies fell shortly after the covid-19 pandemic, BP Legal owner Bhumika Parmar, current President of Leicestershire Law Society, decided to buy out another company and invest in an expansion.

Bhumika Parmar, Director of BP Legal, said: “This is a hugely exciting development, representing a considerable opportunity to grow both BP Legal and Solicitors4Landlords. It is a proud moment for me personally, having started the company in 2009 with a mission to provide high-quality legal advice that is clear and accessible to everyone.

"This office expansion will enable us to supply this legal assistance to more people who need it and provide an even better customer service experience for our clients. Leicester has, for a long time, been lacking in law firms that provide every legal service you’d need at every stage of life that people can then pass those relationships on to their grown children for generations.

"With our integration of Solicitors4Landlords, we’re excited to be able to apply this way of working to the national clients across the UK that we’ve inherited through our acquisition.”

Almost doubling the size of BP Legal’s offices at 221 Belgrave Gate to a total of 350 square-metres, it will allow for the integration of Solicitors4Landlords within the building and create nine new jobs, including three new staff members who have recently started, and six more set to join in the coming months. These new staff members will help expand BP Legal’s expertise across its various areas of legal practise, from commercial property, conveyancing, family law to immigration law.

The planning and building works have been carried out by local firms and project managed by Bhumika’s father Kanti Pancholi. Once completed, the project will provide the team with 12 additional offices, seven banks in an open plan office, a new kitchen, and new bathroom facilities.

This state-of-the-art space will allow for an increased volume of meetings and events onsite, alongside the increase in staff numbers.

To mark the merger and investment, the team will be opening their doors to the public for drinks and canapes on September 5, 5pm-7:30pm.
