Cab fare discount for over 70s travelling for coronavirus jabs

People over 70 can get 20% off their taxi fare when going to receive a coronavirus vaccination.

ADT Taxis owners Ashley Butcher and David Hunter are offering over 70s a 20% discount off their taxi fare when they go to receive a coronavirus vaccination.

The CAB4AJAB campaign was first launched to offer people over 80 free taxi journeys to get their vaccinations.

After a monumental response, ADT is now offering 20% off to all over 70s using their taxi service to go and receive a coronavirus vaccination.

The message spread through Leicester’s community after Ashley appeared on several media outlets including local radio stations BBC Radio Leicester and Fosse 107.

David Hunter commented: "We can't stop now, it's been a brilliant effort by all the team to get so many of those who are most at risk down to their vaccinations, but we want to help get the over 70s and more there as well, and we hope this 20% offer will help them.”

With the ongoing vaccination process fully underway, it is vital that the most vulnerable get vaccinated first. With the devastating mortality rate hitting 100,000 this past week, reality hit home. Getting the most at risk protected has never been more important.

For all businesses in and around Leicester, the last few months have seen to be particularly difficult. However, there is now starting to be some light at the end of the tunnel, should everyone continue to play their part.

Anyone over 70 can use the code CAB4AJAB to claim their discount over the phone or online.

ADT Taxi’s offer will be available until March 1, 2021.
