The founder and director of Bushra Ali Solicitors has been recognised by the national Law Society and their Excellence Awards by becoming a finalist in two categories.
Leicester's Bushra Ali has got through to the finals of the Sole Practitioner of the Year and Woman Solicitor of the Year categories.
Commenting on the news, award-winner Bushra Ali said: “To be a finalist in both is absolutely unbelievable and I am deeply honoured for the nomination and for the finalist place.
"I’d very much like to extend my congratulations to all my fellow finalists and wish them all good luck! Let’s take this as an opportunity to celebrate together!”
The awards, which recognise the work of solicitors and law firms from across the UK, are heavily contested with a spokesperson from the Law Society saying: “The entries we’ve received during a very challenging time for solicitors are a testament to the outstanding work accomplished across the legal profession. Congratulations to all the firms, teams and individuals who have been shortlisted.”
The virtual awards ceremony for the Law Society Excellence Awards takes place on October 7, 2021.
In other news, Bushra has also been nominated in three categories for the Institute of Directors (IoD) Director of the Year Awards, East Midlands.
Bushra added: “I was extremely honoured to be nominated for our work in Equality and Diversity, in Corporate Social Responsibility and, finally, in the Agility and Resilience category. I know these awards attract some incredible entries so right now I’m happily enjoying the fact that I’ve been nominated and we’ll see what happens after the judges have deliberated in September!
“Equality and diversity and corporate social responsibility are absolutely key to the work I do both through Bushra Ali Solicitors and The Bushra Ali Group and will continue to be central to my work going forwards.
