The organisation is designed to support micro and small businesses across the UK.
Leicester-based marketing support service, XCLUU. Ltd, made the brave decision to appoint two senior management team members during the country’s lockdown, in a bid to step forward at a time when all small businesses need as much support as they can get.
XCLUU.'s vision is to make professional marketing support accessible and affordable for all small businesses across the U.K.
The new team members consist of newly appointed Managing Director, Dave Orton. Dave was previously Client Director for Mocha Marketing, alongside his Senior Physiotherapist role with Leicester Tigers.
Joining him as Head of Marketing and Operations is Hannah Tomlinson who was Head of Marketing for Shoe Zone and Evolve-IT. Dave also becomes shareholder alongside CEO, Gemma Orton and Digital Director, Steve Stuart.
Founder and CEO, Gemma Orton, explains: "XCLUU.’s vision has always been to make professional marketing support affordable for all micro and small businesses across the UK.
"The lockdown period gave us time to reflect on our vision as well as the opportunity to strengthen the XCLUU. team and ramp up our game to reach as many small businesses across the UK as we can, with the message that we are here and ready to service them!
"The challenge of the Covid-19 period also presented us with opportunities which may not otherwise have come along. Both Dave and Hannah, became available on a full-time basis and I knew we had to scoop them up. Both have been incredibly well respected throughout their careers and it’s an absolute honour to have them with us, playing these crucial roles."
Dave Orton, Managing Director, talks about his new role: "I have seen the idea behind XCLUU. unfold over the last couple of years, and to now have the opportunity to grab the reins from Gemma and take it forward on a day to day basis is really exciting.
"We have so much to offer to the micro businesses of the UK. We know first hand what it’s like to be a small business and to not have the affordability to engage with marketing professionals and we are determined to service this gap in the market."
