The finalists of this year’s Niche Business Awards were revealed this week at a Niche Networking event at the Menphys Hub.

The Niche Business Awards 2024 will reveal its winners – as chosen by an independent panel of judges – on Friday, September 6. This year’s headline sponsor is Hollingsworths Solicitors.

Greg Hollingsworth, director of Hollingsworths, said: We’re delighted to be headline sponsors for the 10th year of the Niche Business Awards.

"What’s special about the Niche Business awards is it really brings together the whole community from across Leicestershire, and it’s a real celebration.

"For those who are nominees, finalists, winners, and ambassadors for the 2024 awards, the fantastic journey you’re about to go on will give your business real recognition for the successes you’ve had.

"Recognition is a motivator. We don’t work for recognition, but we work to be worthy of the recognition we receive.

The awards were invented to celebrate businesses across Leicestershire and are organised by marketing agency Cross Productions, which publishes Leicestershire’s leading business publication Niche Magazine.

Jenny Cross, CEO of Cross Productions, said: “We’re thrilled to be celebrating the 10th year of the Niche Business Awards. Over the last decade we’ve been able to recognise some of the finest businesses that Leicestershire has to offer, and this year continues the tradition.

"We’re glad the awards continue to be one of the highlights of the local event calendar, and a superb opportunity for networking and PR. It’s for this reason that we’ve increased the number of finalists per category from three to five, allowing us to spotlight more of the county’s outstanding businesses and individuals.

"There’s no doubt that award recognition helps to build trust in companies and attract new clients and customers, and that’s reflected in the hundreds of nominations we’ve received again this year.

This year marks the awards’ 10th event and aims to showcase the organisations and individuals that make a positive impact on the local economy.

Acting as a springboard for finalists and winners, Niche Magazine provides valuable coverage for those involved, creating further brand awareness – in print and online platforms – for those involved in the awards.

Among the finalists are large corporations, family-run SMEs, entrepreneurs, creatives, starts ups, charities, and hospitality specialists. An independent judging panel will now conduct in-depth research into the finalists, who were chosen by their category sponsors after thorough review.

The event is well-known for its quirky themes and breaking down business formalities, bringing local professionals together to celebrate one another's success, rather than compete. This year’s theme is The Great Gatsby, so guests can expect the ceremony to deliver on glamour and decadence.

Jenny added: "We look forward to welcoming Leicestershire’s thriving business community to Athena for the 2024 ceremony.

"There can be no greater way to make a spectacle of the evening than our Gatsby-inspired theme – the perfect way to celebrate 10 years.”

Tickets for the Niche Business Awards 2024 are on sale now. The ceremony will take place at Athena in the Cultural Quarter on Friday, September 6.

The Niche Business Awards are always an exciting event, bringing together the community to celebrate the achievements of local businesses. This year, the awards will reveal the winners chosen by an independent panel of judges on Friday, September 6. Hollingsworths Solicitors, the headline sponsor, has been a great supporter of the awards for the past ten years. Greg Hollingsworth, the director, emphasized the importance of recognition and how it motivates businesses to strive for excellence. While celebrating business achievements, it's also essential to consider challenges like flooding, which can impact businesses and communities.
