Theatre society invites businesses to VIP gala networking night and performance

Businesses can book on to the networking event, which takes place on March 10.

Williams Creatives is an amateur theatre group that aims to help those from disadvantaged backgrounds break into the creative industries.

They're celebrating their first musical since 2020 with a full-length show medley of well-known songs all brought together by an original script.

The troupe has invited local businesspeople to its VIP Gala Networking event on opening night, which takes place on Thursday, March 10.

The evening will provide the opportunity to get to know some of Leicester's performing arts community, key workers and blue light members, and school, youth club, and care home representatives.

Joshua Williams, founder of the company said: “After what has been a tough year for all of us, the performing arts Industry took a massive hit, so we are really excited to bring this production to Leicester.

"We are passionate about supporting communities and encouraging people to reach their full potential. Support local not-for-profit theatre and buy your tickets now!”

Williams Creatives will bring 'Miscast All Inclusive' to the stage at Sue Townsend Theatre.

Miscast All Inclusive

'Miscast' is Williams Creatives' annual signature show that brings together much-loved songs from films and musicals. Each year, the show takes on a different form.

This year's 'Miscast All Inclusive' is a delightful evening of fun, music, drama and laugh-out-loud comedy in this original production set to the music of big musical favourites.

A tough decision must be made between keeping the club reps or cruise liners and it’s up to Chandrelle to decide whether to change their futures forever or change the rules and write their own destinies.

Featuring well known numbers from popular music and musicals including On Your Feet, 9 to 5, Rock of Ages, and Legally Blonde, this is a story of determination, teamwork, and love in a way you've never seen before.

Joshua Williams is the director of this production, and he is joined by Jade Afflick-Goodall as Choreographer and Emmeline Edwards in her debut as Musical Director.

The show includes performers from across Leicestershire and Nottingham who joined the company as new members in July 2021 and January 2022.

Tickets are £25, which include show ticket, programme, goodie bag with merchandise, a sweet treat and a free drinks voucher.

Williams Creatives

Williams Creatives were described as an “industry powerhouse” after their hugely successful show, 'On the Surface, We Smile' in November 2018 at Melton Theatre.

The company is managed by Joshua Williams and Sharon Brown alongside a committee of talented individuals, and they are making a name for themselves as the new kids on the block with big visions for the future.

The troupe runs workshops, a variety of shows and plays throughout the year, professional headshots, notification of audition opportunities, and social nights for its members, all in aid of providing local people with the opportunity to develop their skillsets whether for the stage or the big screen. Miscast All Inclusive opens at Sue Townsend Theatre on Thursday, March 10 to Saturday, March 12.

Tickets are available now for the VIP Gala Networking and performance takes place on March.
