PPL PRS named as finalists in SIX categories at National Contact Centre Awards

Leicester company up for six awards.

Music licensing business, PPL PRS Ltd has been recognised by the UK National Contact Centre Awards as finalists in six of the categories in their 2024 awards.

 

The company, who issue TheMusicLicence to businesses and organisations who play music to their customers and staff was set up in 2017 and started licensing businesses in 2018, with the mission to streamline music licensing and make things easier for customers by offering them just one single licence.


This includes thousands of UK businesses who pay licence fees to PPL PRS which are then distributed to music creators, after operating costs, as royalties via its parent organisations PPL and PRS for Music.


The Leicester-based business, which employs over 250 people, was selected as a finalist by the judges of the largest contact centre awards. The awards have been running for 29 years and celebrate the teams and individuals driving innovation and excellence in customer experience.


Commercial Director for PPL PRS, Greg Aiello, commented: “We are extremely proud of all of our teams, and people, here at PPL PRS, and to be recognised in not only one, but six categories for these prestigious awards is so exciting.


"2023 was a fantastic year for the business, and every single person recognised as a finalist in these awards really went above and beyond to ensure that we not only hit our targets, meaning more money collected on behalf of music creators, but we provided a great customer experience and improved our ways of working along the way.

The six categories the business is represented in are:

  • Change & Innovation Team (Small Business) – Operational Excellence Team

  • Leadership Team of the Year (Small Business) –Commercial Leadership Team

  • Complaints Team of the Year – Complaints & Escalations Team

  • Change Maker – Simon White (Individual Award)

  • Rising Star Team Manager of the Year – Marcel Thomas (Individual Award)

  • Sales Team Manager of the Year – Emma Hann (Individual Award)
